I have an iPhone with about 5400 messages in the trash

Customer Question

I have an iPhone with about 5400 messages in the trash folder. Apparently, I can press the trash icon and select delete all but that will only clear out 10-20 at a time. With over 5400 messages, that will take all day.
How can I remove ALL items from the trash folder on my iPhone to free up some memory?

Who is your email provider, if your emails are saved somewhere else you can login to the web interface and delete them there.

or you can go to settings --> mail --> account --> Mail days to sync and change that to like a a month or week... etc.
