i can not open any windows folders every time i try media player classic comes up on the screen and says cannot render file

ThanksPlease click on Start->All Programs->Accessories, then right-click on Command Prompt and click on Run as administrator. Then in the black window that opens, type insfc /scannowpress enterlet the scan and repair complete, restart the computer and tell me if it now works correctly please.

Ok, Can you power off the computerPower it on and keep tapping F8 until you get to a menu, and choose Safe Mode command promptWhen your at a screen where you can type, then type insfc /scannowPress enterlet the scan and repair complete, restart the computer and tell me if it now works correctly please.

sorry i just purchased the computer from a store . it wasnt custom built for me. i do not have the windows disc.
