My i5 has locked me out after nan update. The screen says Activate iPhone. I forgot my Apple id and password. I have tried to reset online but no success. At the Verizon store yesterday I was the seventh person that day to present the same problem. I'm ready to throw this phone out the window. I need the contacts and pictures!!!!!! Help Chris

ok, it means the Apple ID your putting in is not the one you used when you first set up the phone Chris.

Ok, then it will have been another email address you had some time ago or a Typo you did when you set it up

If you cannot past this,

You will have to reset the iPhone, there is no other way to remove this. Its going to remove all data and return the phone to new but you cannot avoid it

To do the reset

Connect the phone to the computer and open itunes

Hold the power and home button down until you see

"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode..."

Click Restore Phone, let this complete and it should now work
