Hi, I have a Macbook Air with MS products on it. When using Word, I have repeatedly encountered this same message: “Word could not create the work file. Check the amount of disc space on the startup disk". I'm not a computer savvy person.

1. Open Terminal

2. Copy and paste the following: sudo /usr/libexec/repair_packages --repair --standard-pkgs --volume /

3. Wait a few minutes

4. Quit and re-open Word. Warning dialog box should gone.
