Welcome to Justanswer.com, my name is ***** ***** I will do my best to assist you.
To get started, I need to know what type of computer you're using.Windows XP, Widows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Or a Mac.If it's a Mac, please check the OSX version as follows.Click the apple sign at the top left of your screen, then click about this mac. And then where it says version, send that to me as a reply.
Most likely the windows update is the issue.. It probably knocked your track pad driver offline.
Assuming you have a mouse you can use in the interim. Heres what we can do.
Please press the windows key on your keyboard, or tap the "desktop" icon to go to your old fashioned windows desktop. Then, hold down your windows key and press R ( The windows key is two keys to the left of your space-bar )Then type in rstrui.exe and hit enter.. On the system restore screen,Click, restore my computer to an earlier point, then click next..We want to choose a restore point that was at least one day before the issues started.Carry out the restore. the computer will restart, then let me know if that fixed the issue or not.

Hi again.. Ive just seen your message.
When you say the cursor works, but thats it. Do you mean the trackpad can move the cursor.. But you cant click or right click anything?
besides two finger operation.. Can you click on anything?
Apologies, im past the end of my shift and getting ready for dinner.
You may need to download a new trackpad / touchpad driver from your computer manufacturer.
And once downloaded, go into the synaptics or elan or touchpad properties, and enable the multi finger gestures as shown on this page.
As it sounds like the touchpads hardware is working, you just need to turn on the appropriate settings in the touchpad software now.
Let me know if you run into any issues downloading or checking your touchpad settings..
I will be a bit removed for the next 45 minutes, but after that Ill be fully available to assist you.
What model and manufacturer touchpad is it?
