Hi,

If you add a movie via Insert, Movies And Sounds, Movie From File, you can't change the playback speed.

  • From the control toolbox place an instance of Windows Media Player on the slide.
  • Right click the Windows Media Player control and select Properties.
  • For the URL property, type the path to your media file.
  • In Properties click "Custom" then the Advanced tab.
  • The default "Rate" is 1.0000 change it to .5000 to have the movie play at half speed, or change it to .25000 for quarter-speed playback. Or set the rate higher than 1.0000 for faster-than-normal playback.

I read this same response when I googled my question. I don't know how to do step 1. The video is from my Dropbox so I don't know how to do step 3.
Expert:  Josh replied 1 year ago.

The file will need to be saved on your computer from Dropbox and the path of your file would be where the file is located on your hard drive such as My Documents/filename.ppt

Got it. Then how do I do step 1?
Expert:  Josh replied 1 year ago.

Step 1 needs to be done within Powerpoint -- Open the control toolbox and insert a Windows Media Player

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Windows media player is not listed as a choice to insert.
