I put in what I thought my password was I-Pad and it wasn't

Hello. I put in what I thought my password ***** for my I-Pad and it wasn't correct. I tried to correct it and after several tries it locked me out. I turned off my computer and waited until tonight to try again. I put in the correct password ***** it will not let me in. What can I do? I hope you can help me. Clarice Miller
