HOLD THE POWER AND HOME BUTTON FOR 10 SECONDS AND RELEASE
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

Thank you.

Sometimes it takes more than 10 sec for the reset the take effect. I would suggest you to hold down the power button and home button together for 10-40 seconds and see if it does something.

If not, connect it to the charger for 20 minutes and try the reset again. Let's see whether it makes any difference.

40 SECONDS DID NOT DO ANYTHING, PUTTING ON THE CHARGER

:(

It could well be a hardware problem. Let's see if charging for 20 minutes helps.

:(

Do you have itunes installed in the computer?

If you have, open itunes in the computer and connect the ipad to the computer. Let me know whether itunes recognize your ipad.

IT DOES

IN RECOVERY MODE
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

Then I am afraid you need to try a restore. Do you have a backup either in itunes or in icloud?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
NO TRYING A RESTORE
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

a restore could delete data from your ipad unless you have a backup. I am afraid you need to try a restore anyway as the reset process did not work. Let me know how the restore goes.

IT KEEPS WAITING FOR THE IPAD TO RESPOND BUT CANNOT RESPOND
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

can you just try a reset on the ipad now and see if it comes up with an apple logo?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
NOTHING
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

Then I am afraid it is a display hardware problem :(

You would need to get it repaired/replaced. Since your ipad is more than a year old, it would have run out of warranty as well and therefore it would cost you to get it repaired. Do you have any apple store nearby?

OK THANKS BYE
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 1 year ago.

you are welcome.

Sorry I could not resolve your issue as it is more hardware related.
