I have Safari 5.1.10 and need to upgrade to 6.1 on my Mac OS

Customer Question

I have Safari 5.1.10 and need to upgrade to 6.1 on my Mac OS X 10.6.8. How do I get Safari 6.1?

My bank has deadline of December 5, 2015 to install Safari 6.x as an upgrade to my Safari 5.1.10. It seems easier to get Safari 6.1 than to go to a new internet browser.

Hi,

I'm sorry about the issue. The latest Safari version you can installed on the Mac OS X version 10.6.x is 5.x. You can check if your computer is compatible with the latest MAC OS X version at the Apple website below, then it will update Safari to the latest version automatically:

- However, there is an easier and faster solution. Please try the following:

Download and install the new Google Chrome internet browser application at the website below:

https://www.google.com/chrome/

, keep default option during installation, and when prompted to sign in Google account, skip / cancel it

, then quit Safari, then open Google Chrome application and use Google Chrome for your bank website and for all other websites.

Please reply at the box below to continue troubleshooting. Thank you.
