ok... I think then your referring to the websites offer of having someone call you? You can ignore that... I only work here online
But the issue is then confirmed, the hard drive in the Iomega has crashed and this is why it cannot be accessed. The computer has been ruled out as has the USB port and the cable
It is always a risk with external drives and why they should only be used as a secondary storage, not to store the only copy of date available as when this happens, the data is lost.
But unless you wish to send the hard drive into a company that will dismantle it and scan off the data (it can be costly but you can check costs by calling 1-***-***-****)
You then send the disk in to them, they dismantle it, manually scan it with specialized tools and send the data back on another disk (this disk you cannot use)
But this will be the only way to get the data back, and it is not guaranteed all data can be returned, it depends on the extent of the damage with the crash
