I am a MAC and a Windows Tech - so it's fine. I will have to troubleshoot the issue to test it (right now) it seems to be an add-on conflict, if we troubleshoot it by typing; it can take a lot of time.
Can you close Outlook and start it in safe mode and then try opening contacts?
