Customer Question

I am working on a MacBook Air. When I try to get to my email, my computer shifts to a different screen that only allows me to access email. When I shift back to the screen that allows me to do everything else--work on documents, connect to the internet, etc.--I see at the top of my screen in the lefthand corner an icon (I guess it's an icon) with a set of bars with dots next to them. When i press this, ti shows my unread email. This is cool, but how do I get back to where I was, with my email showing on the same screen as all my applications.
Thank you.

Can you tell me the exact version of OS X you are currently running, please?

Click the Apple logo in the menu bar at the top left of the screen

Select "About This Mac"

In the window that opens, look for the "Version" information. Please let me know what it says.

Thanks,

John
