it just stopped responding, the message says:
'choose a wi-fi network.'
so i do then the message says:
your iphone could not be activated
because the activation server is
temporarly unavailable. try connecting
your iphone to itunes to activate it, or
try again in a couple of munutes'
i have tried connecting to itunes
updating itunes on computer,
changing wi-fi networks
turning phone on and off
my mum spent three hrs on the phone to apple support
it wont give me any other options... please help

HEllo there! Please follow these steps.Plug your iOS device into your computer with a USB cable. Turn off the device. Hold the Power button for 3 seconds. Hold the Home and Power buttons for 10 seconds. Release the Power button but keep holding the Home button. After about 15 seconds you will be alerted by iTunes saying that it has detected a device in Recovery Mode. Make sure the device screen is blank and no logos are present

obviously we are in different time zones. i have updated itunes and tried several times to fix this phone the way you suggested. i have 2 hrs to recieve a reply from you and fix it myself or my cousin is taking it to the city for me. thankyou
