Ye in Parallels you have to go to Configure / Options / Advanced and check Enable Apple Remote
It is still using the Apple system...You have to clikck on the lock and put in your password
You set the Mac or PC inside the battery case take the cover off the battery

No you shouldn't have to not sure why it is missing. Just at the front. Also try this:
Open Terminal in Applications / Utilities copy and paste this line then hit Return:
Applications / Utilities there is a folder in Applications called Utilities
Not System Preferences open your Applications folder those are not folders....
Or just type Terminal in the Spotlight search window
