Can you attempt the following please
Connect the phone to the computer and open itunes
You can download and install iTunes from www.itunes.com If you do not have it installed
Then hold the power and home button down until you see
"iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode..."
Click Restore Phone, let this complete and if it does it should then work
