Hello there! The First thing we need to do is check to see if your system sees an airport card connected.
Go to the apple icon
select about this mac
then more info
look under network devices. IF you do see an airport card then we will need to reinstall the drives by reinstalling the osx system.
1. turn off your macbook pro
2. Locate/push CMD (command key) and R keys
3. Turn on mac while still holding the keys from step 2
4. Select reinstall OSX.

Will this erase my computer?

Then the airport card itself has become defective if you like i can show you how to replace it and find another one thats a genuine apple replacement part.
