I have a first generation ipod, and its battery has to be charge

Resolved Question:

I have a first generation ipod, and its battery has to be charge within about 4 hours before going dead. Is it the battery that needs to be replace? if yes how hard is it to change it and where do I get this battery? Thanks

Can you tell me which 1st gen you have? Is it a iPod Touch?

I know which one you have now. Wasn't sure if you were at first referring to 1st Gen iTouch or original iPod.
