Hi,

I need to download a movie to my ipad (its a .MOV or .AVI), what is the best way to do it so that I can show the video without being in a wifi zone?

Thanks
Hi,

Please open iTunes and connect the iPad.
Drag the movie from your computer into the Movies folder on the iPad (in iTunes).

This will copy the movie to the iPad, and you will be able to play it from the "Movies" app.

Could the Movies app also be called the Videos app?

Yes - in the new IOS version, it is called Videos.

It turns out the file is an .MPG and it won't let me copy it to the iPad... any suggestions?

iPad does support MPEG4 - perhaps you video is corrupt or in another format?

You can use this free converter to convert it:

Anyway to WIFI it in? Also, that downloader is only for Windows, any other suggestions?

No way to WiFi it in - you need to use iTunes.

Are you getting any kind of error?
Customer: replied 3 years ago.

It just says because "It cannot be played on this iPad"....

Its .MPG, not .MP4

Can you try using the converter utility I provided to convert it to MP4?
