Hi, I have just upgraded to Maverick but now the calenders

I have just upgraded to Maverick but now the calenders on the iMac and iPad mini no longer sync. What should I do?

I'm sorry about the issue. It looks like Apple has disabled local sync with Maverick, but you can sync calendars via Wi-Fi/wireless/network. Do you have iCloud enabled? Have you tried syncing calendars with iCloud?

Yes iCloud is enabled and yes I have tried


 

Sorry about that. The internet is working fine on the iPad right? Can you go to Settings -> iCloud, then turn off /on Calendar, then check?

Make sure iCloud is turned on on both the iMac and iPad:

Can you press and hold both the Power button and the Home buttons together for at least 10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears, then wait a bit, then check.

Turned calendars off on ipad and back on but


still not synching. Will try your second advice, please wait while I do.

Done as you suggest, internet is working fine. What are [email protected] going to tell me that you can't?

Sorry, it just provides more methods, such as on the iMac:

    1. Open Calendar (or iCal).
    2. Open Calendar (or iCal) Preferences.
    3. Click Accounts. You should see an account with your iCloud member name in the Apple ID field.
  • Turn iCloud Calendars off and back on:
    1. Quit Calendar (or iCal).
    2. ChooseApple logo / menu > System Preferences, then select iCloud.
    3. Deselect the checkbox next to Calendars.
    4. Close System Preferences and wait about a minute.
    5. Open System Preferences and select iCloud.
    6. Replace the checkmark next to Calendars.
    7. Close System Preferences.
    8. Open Calendar (or iCal) and test to see if the issue is resolved.

If you are using a PC, Internet Explorer works the best. If you are using a Mac, only Safari will work with this remote.

Having a problem joining the session.
The login asks for username and password. Not sure which ones they want as this is first time I have used it

Cannot download, says safari can't open the file

It is the same file that you already downloaded hours ago and got running.

What is the name of the file?

Sorry but it seems to have disappeared, only downloaded file today was for Java


The JAVA file was downloaded in Firefox and not in Safari. That means that you have Firefox opened and you do not have Safari open.

Open Safari and in Safari, go to www.join.me

Then click the play button.

Then open the downloads window.

Then double click the new file that downloads.

I was disconnected.

The syncing was working between your MAC and your servers.

You were explaining that you use the Safari application on your iPad Mini. This means that it was working.

You can refresh the page on your iPad mini and not have any problems.

Jason my apologies but this is starting to drive me round the bend. Could it be an issue withMaverick?
Seem to have lost you, have tried to log back in. To the session on the iMac but it refuses. To let me join

Jason I have to go. The issue is still unresolved. Will get back in touch next week but it seems more than likely there is an issue with Maverick. Am tempted to go back to Mountain Lion as I do need to be able to sync between iPad and iMc.



There is no problem on your Mac and no problem with Maverick.

Between your Mac, which has Maverick, the calendars do sync. I showed you that.

If they are syncing there, then they are working.

The Mac is syncing.

The Mac is complete.

There is no need for me to do anything else on the Mac.

It is working.

On your iPad Mini, you must refresh your calendars manually or just wait for them to sync automatically.

Jason, I have entered items on iCal on the iMac and items on the iPad but neither appears on the other.i know it takes time to do this but nothing happens. I really am at a loss
