If you can help me that would be wonderful! Thanks Alyssa
Hi Alyssa

Sorry to hear that the iPod is disabled....:(

Unfortunately, the only way to get out of it is to restore the iPod to factory settings.

Do you have access to any computer with iTunes installed?

If not, is the iPod backed up to iCloud? And does it have find my iPod function turned on?

Thank you

yes i have a laptop with itunes installed

Lets open iTunes in the computer and connect the iPod.

Now, on the iPod, press and hold the power button and the home button together until you see an apple logo. The very moment you see the apple, let go off the power button, but keep on holding the home button for another 10-15 sec.

Your computer should now give a message that it has detected an iPod in recovery mode and needs a restore. Now you can go for the restore by clicking on the restore button.

Let me know if you don't get any such message

I tried this a few times and it keeps telling me that it cannot sync to her ipod without a passcode

It's because the iPod is not getting into recovery mode. In recovery mode, the iPod screen will show a USB cable and an iTunes logo.

Let me check some videos for it
Try it this way please
