I have a good many files in my documents that were transferred

Resolved Question:

I have a good many files in my documents that were transferred to my iMac from my PC. However, some of them appear on the screen as black or dark grey and will not open. Is there a way I can open these files?

Open Word.
Click File-->Open, and point it to one of those files.

Does it open in Word?

no such thing as right clicking on the mouse


the drop down box says it cannot open the binary file


but thje Apple people told me when I bought the computer that I could do this
