My iPad is locked up: When I press start button thois message

Customer Question

My iPad is locked up: When I press start button thois message appears:

iCloud Backup
This iPad hasn't been backed up in
2 weeks. Backups happen when
this iPad is plugged in, locked, and
connected to Wi-Fi.

But I can't get it to do anything, even when plugged into the computer, an Apple iMac using OSX 10.6.8

Welcome, my name is Dustin and I will assist you today!

The first thing we should try, is to perform a hard reset of the ipad. Heres how

Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

Once we have hard reset the ipad, you should be able connect to your home wifi, and then allow icloud to make a backup..

If you run into any issues at all, or if these steps dont work..Please send a reply so that I can continue assisting you as needed.

Your rating below upon a successful solution, is Kindly appreciated.

I held yhe Sleep/Awake button for 20 min. . . .nothing happened except for them same message appearing on my Mail listing.

First, we need to start with the ipad turned off.

Then, You have to hold the Home button, and the sleep / wake button..

Keep holding them for 10 - 15 seconds. And we should see the apple logo appear.

Let me know if your able to complete the reset that way Bob.
