Hello Bill! Thank you for your question. I am a licensed computer professional with over ten years of experience, and I will be assisting you today.I'm sorry about the issue. Do you go to the email website to use email? Or do you use an email program, like Mac Mail or Outlook, etc.?Do you see the compressed files at the website http://drive.google.com/?Can we do a screen sharing session, so I can chat with you and help you directly? Please let me know. Thank you
I use the google mail UI to send and receive messages
I don't understand compressed files at the website
Yes, we do a screen sharing session, so I can chat with you to help me directly
I waited to join and chat with you at
and waited for about 30mins with no connection
I am a senior master builder who bills his time out at $125/hr. So far, I am dissatisfied. If not successful in the next attempt, I will have to claim back your charges and charge you my time which I don't have to waste, not to mention the grief 'Just Answer Computer' is causing me!
Incidentally, what's with the PM time reporting?
I'm sorry, your computer has not connected, so I could not fix; please just reply if nothing happens. Can you try that website again please, try any other option it gives you as needed? If it does not connect/join within about 10 minutes, please reply back.http://18.104.22.168:8040/?Session=06a20bb0-5b48-4ea2-a59d-37982de8dd8aEdit: I'm really sorry, it seems your computer just cannot be able to connect with me. Let me open the issue to other Professionals. Don't worry, we guarantee our service. Thank you
But I was able to go to google drive and attach a file >25MB that was compressed and sent.
Are you saying that they took that feature away?
Even if they did change to omit this feature, what can users use within google to transfer larger files?
Can you step me through on how to use drop box and will my email recipient be able to open it from their end?
Hi Bill,I've just found a way to use google drive/gmail directly; this is the new way to email large files (there is no need compression any more.) First, go to the website below:
, then click on the Up arrow icon there, and upload the (large) file you want to email
(you can also drag the file you want from your computer to the website
https://drive.google.com, then it will start uploading also.), then go to your email, then use the google drive attach icon there to attach.
Please let me know if it works or not. I will help further as needed. You can click on the Reply to Expert tab below and reply back to me. Thank you very much.
Hi Bill,The google drive method above should work well, but let me also give you a couple of more methods for sending large files if you do not like that google drive method, or if you'd just like to try them out:- You can upload any file at the website http://www.wikisend.com/, then email the file website link it will provide you, then the recipient can open the file from that link- You can use the website https://www.wetransfer.com for sending lots of (large) files. Please let me know the result any time, or if there is any issue, please let me know, so I can help further. Thank you very much.
I will try your suggestion as per below and let you know
"- You can upload any file at the website http://www.wikisend.com/, then email the file website link it will provide you, then the recipient can open the file from that link"
Can reply when it works.... hopefully!
OK, try emailing it to yourself and/or someone and check. If needed, try my 3rd suggestion. Please take your time and let me know. Thank you.
Still trying your 3rd method - still can't do it! I have spent over 3 1/2 hrs working on this problem with no success. Effectively as a Senior builder that represents almost $600 of my time wasted.
I will reply with an outline report of what I have done so far, in between my meetings.
Please confirm receipt of this message.
I'm sorry. Are you stuck at any step from any of my three methods? You can try only when you have time; otherwise, I can cancel / refund this for you.
Edit: Do you still need help on this? Please let me know. Thank you,
