do not have cd & when I clicked onto reply, I received "server

Click the Finder icon (Magnifying glass) on the top right.
Type Excel in the box.

Do you see Excel on the list of programs?
If not - open the Trash. Is it in the trahs?

I have App store on bottom on desktop as well as the excel icon, but when I click on it says it program needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find the disc.

Sorry for delay, I had to attend meeting. I do not recall where the program came from because I did not load it. I suspect that maybe it was not purchased?

If you still need to use Excel, you can simply download and install it directly from Microsoft.
