Doesn't seem to be working because I don't have the Java Runtime.
One of the problems is that my Safari seems to have been harmed in some way and is no longer available.
I'm using Chrome. I have tried dragging it to the trash and get a response that it can't be put it the trash. Also, on the browser, where do I find the preferences option?
I'll try and uninstall first, then try preferences. So the uninstall just came up with an about:blank page. And when I click on the menu, there is listed settings, but no preferences. Where else might it be?
When I click on the icon at the top right, basically three dashes, a menu is displayed with choices like New Tab, Tools, and Settings. I selected Settings but there was nothing about Preferences. Not sure what the gear/wheel/tool icon is, but I'll look.
So I have a choice of Yahoo or Bing, but no Safari. My default browser is Google Chrome. If I chance my browser to Yahoo, will that help?
Okay, did Yahoo. Checked on startup and selected new tab page. Now what?
Okay, I did both of those.
Sorry for my ignorance, but how do I close Chrome without disconnecting this chat? Also, is there any way I can download Safari again from the internet?
Let me know if you still need help with anything else. I will help further as needed.By the way, Chrome browser and Firefox browser http://www.firefox.com work faster and more reliable than Safari.Thank you very much
