Try to force quit safari first. To force quit safari, double tap the home button. You will see a series of applications appear at the bottom. Find safari and press and hold the safari icon. When you see the red prohibitory sign, click on it. Now re-open safari

Im sure your not :) The home button is the round button at the bottom front bezel of your ipad. Its the button that you press whenever you want to get back to the home screen
