Hi

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with the iPad. Don't worry, I will try my best to help you resolve this issue.

I would like to have some information from you.

1. How long have you been facing this issue?

2. Are you able to hear the songs from the music app? Or is it just the apps you have the problem with?

3. Are you able to hear with the headphones attached?

Thank you
Vinod

I noticed it about a week ago.
There is no sound whatsoever
I cannot hear even with the ear phones.

Thank you, Stella.

It looks more like a hardware damage..:( anyway, lets try some troubleshooting.

Lets try a reset first. Press and hold the power button and the home button together until you see an apple logo.

If that does not fix the issue, lets reset all settings. Go to settings - general - reset - reset all settings.

If that too does not work, we need to try a restore. Connect the iPad to the computer and open iTunes in the computer. Your iPad name would now be listed in iTunes. Click on the iPad name, and now to the middle if the screen, you will find the restore button. Restore the iPad and check the issue.

Let me know if this does not work.

I still have no sound and I do not
Have a computer.

I am sorry...:(
There is a mute button to the right side of the iPad, just above the volume buttons. Try toggling that and see whether it resolves your issue.

If it does not, then we need to try a restore. But since you don't have a computer, we can't try the restore. So I would suggest you to take it into any apple store nearby or call apple care to set up a repair. The apple store can help you restore the iPad and if that too does not resolve the issue, they will replace the iPad for free, if it is under warranty.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any difficulty.

I still have no sound.
What can you do to help me from this problem.
Expert:  Vinod Menon replied 3 years ago.
I am sorry. Since we are an online site, I can only help you with resolving the software issues. We can confirm whether it is a software or hardware issue, only after trying a restore. But since you don't have the computer, my help is limited there too..:(

So I would suggest you to take it into any apple store nearby. Please don't rate my service if you are not satisfied, as this is something which we can't fix online..:(

I will close down for now
As I think you are right, I remember dropping it when'd my granddaughter
Skyped me.

That drop could have caused the hardware damage..:(
I am sorry I couldn't help you further...
