My iPad2 is currently on IOS 4.3.3 (8J2). I have tried to update through my desktop three times unsuccessfully. What could I be doing wrong?

If you are having difficulty upgrading your ipad, your itunes may be out of date or your ipad may need to be restored and updated. What version of itunes are your running? To find this out, iTunes in the top menu bar and choose about itunes

I cannot locate the iTunes version,

Are you getting an error message after trying to update your ipad?

Customer:

No

Appleologist :

Is your ipad backed up, we may need to restore and update it

Yes that is OK

Ok connect your ipad into itunes. Press and hold both the sleep and home button for 40 secs or until you see the cable icon displayed on your ipad screen.


The sleep button is located at the upper right corner and the home button is the round button on the bottom front bezel of your iPad
