I was having a problem with my email and a JustAsk expert had me do a reinstall. Now the email is working but I can't figure out how to get Time Machine to reinstall my files. (I backed up just before I reinstalled.) Time Machine tells me that I "don't have sufficient access privleges" and doesn't give me the option to restore. Also, I have tried all day long to get my files back and now have a bunch of files in the "Macintosh HD" icon, but I'm not sure what actually belongs there and what I've put in extra.

The computer is old - MAC OS X 10.5.8, and I am moderately techno-illiterate, but I'm doing my best!
Hello and thank you for your question today. My name is Jason. I look forward to helping you today.

how long should this take? (getting the remote session running, that is)

It should not take very long.

Did you already open the downloads window, double click the Elsinore item, and allow it to run?

JAson - Time machine no longer says I don't have access (ie, I *do* have access), but it doesn't give me the option to restore anyway. :-(

Help!

Mila

Let's handle this later -- my kid needs me for an hour or 2. I'll let you know when when I am avail again. Thanks.
