Hello, my name is Dan.
I will do my best to help you, the only stupid question is the unasked one.

WHat version of OS X is on your Mac?
Look in the Apple menu in 'About this Mac'.

Have you used iMovie in the past without issue?

Customer: replied 3 years ago.

version 10.6.8

MAC OS X

PROCESSOR 2.4 GHZ INTEL CORE 2 DUO

Yes I have and it took forever. I stopped using it because it was irritating and now my daughter has a project due and we are unable to do it because of this issue.

Quinann, I think I can help with that.
First I would like you to repair permissions, this PDF explains that.

Repairing Permissions

Then after that finishes make sure iMovie is not running. Then click on the small house (home folder), select Library/Preferences, locate and trash this plist.

You may have more than one so take them all, iMovie will create a new one.

That should fix this but just to be sure there is one more place to look.

There are two folders located in Movies, they contain iMovie Events and Projects.

Look in those folders and see if that 777 crusade is in one or both, if so trash it. Empty the trash.

Now try iMovie, I think it will be all better.

Let me know.

It lives in your Applications/Utilities folder.

Hi, Daniel It did not fix the problem. However I was able to get
through the video and complete the project I was working on alot
faster than usual. The item still is popping up and I cannot get rid
of it. I followed the directions , maybe I need to do it again. I do
not know.

Expert:  Daniel replied 3 years ago.
Ok, try this.

It should find where it is and show you the path on the bottom of the Finder window.
I thought I had suggested that but after review it seems I missed that.
Once located it can be trashed.

Let me know please.
