i think my boyfriend has installed eblaster software in my computer, how can I take it off?

Steve Herrod :

Hi, I'll be happy to help with this issue

Steve Herrod :

You've mentioned that you are using a Mac but most of the utilities to remove eblaster are based on Windows

Steve Herrod :

however, you can use a utility like littlesnitch to see what is happening exactly on the system

Steve Herrod :

and this should help show whether there is any eblaster process running

Steve Herrod :

Let me know

Steve Herrod :

Cheers

Customer:

Steve Herrod :

Steve Herrod :

just reviewing now

Steve Herrod :

In LittleSnitch there is a background processes section

Steve Herrod :

can you take a screenshot of the information there?

Steve Herrod :

Steve Herrod :

Steve Herrod :

Reviewing the new information now

Steve Herrod :

ok, are you able to go to Macintosh HD-->Applications-->Utilities-->Terminal

Steve Herrod :

and once that loads up type the following

Steve Herrod :

cat /Library/Preferences/.msptrpref

Steve Herrod :

that should show the e-mail address of whoever installed the software, as it looks like it is installed

Steve Herrod :

once you have checked that you need to remove these files

Steve Herrod :

/Library/Preferences/.msptrpref
/Library/Preferences/sptrapp prefs
/Library/Preferences/.abcd
/Library/startupitems/LiloDS
/Library/startupitems/DriverSPD
/Library/startupitems/SystemStart
/Library/startupitems/SystemStartState
/Library/startupitems/StartupParameters.plist

Steve Herrod :

and that should complete the removal

Steve Herrod :

let me know

Steve Herrod :

Cheers
