compatibility of Quark Express 9.33 with lion in Mac

Steve Herrod :

Hi, Quark Xpress 9.31 and above is certified on OSX Lion and OSX Mountain Lion

Steve Herrod :

Are you having issues with 9.33 on OSX 10.7 (Lion)?

Steve Herrod :

Let me know and I'll be happy to advise further

Steve Herrod :

Cheers

Customer:

Hi, Steve, thanks for your responding. Problem is files gendered in Quark Xpress 9.33 on OS X 10.6.8 (Leapord) do not open on Lion 10.7.4

Steve Herrod :

thanks will check a few options on my test system and come back to you

Steve Herrod :

Have been trying a few things but so far not seen the same issue - just to confirm you can create a new file and Quark works perfectly on Lion 10.7.4 but those files created on the 10.6.8 platform don't open at all?

Steve Herrod :

Do you get an error message at all?

Steve Herrod :

What I would try would be to create a new user on the Lion system via the Apple menu-->System Preferences-->Users application

Steve Herrod :

add a new administrative user with the + icon

Steve Herrod :

and then login as that user

Steve Herrod :

and see if Quark is able to open those files in that user account

Steve Herrod :

that may give an idea as to where the issue is

Steve Herrod :

Cheers

Customer:

Steve,

Many thanks. I have reduced the number of accounts on the computer to one admin user and that does appear to have resolved the problem.

Kind regards,
