Thanks. Trying to install XP on my mac (Lion 10.7.4) using VM Fusion 3.0. Program runs up to the point of installing XP from the disk, then I get two sequential error msgs:

1) Unable to retrive kernel zone sites,
2) Failed to initialize monitor device.

Cannot proceed further. Can you please help?

What is the exact version of Windows XP disc you are using?

Thanks in advance,
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Thanks for being there. It's Version 2002 (SP 2).

You're welcome! Is it a full valid retail copy? What does it say on the disc?
Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Both say " For distribution with a new PC only".

We're they bought separate,or did they come with a different computer?

Customer: replied 4 years ago.

Bought separate; have installed XP successfully on other PC's....

Download the Fusion 3.1.4 update here:

Quit all applications and install it. Download the light version, the second one in the list.

Restart and try XP.
