My OWC Mercury Elite AL-Pro refuses to mount on my 2008 iMac with OS Lion. What's Up?

Open Disk Utility do you see the drive listed on the left?

No, I do not.

Unplug the drive from the computer and power. Then:

Restart and hold the Option key until you see your boot partitions, then choose the Recovery HD, when it boots select the Disk Utility and Continue. Then select Macintosh HD on the left and first Verify Disk if that is OK Repair Permissions. If Verify Disk is not OK try to Repair Disk.

I need clarification. Not too bright tonight. Restarted the drive, unplugged, held option key, no results

Ok remove the drive from the computer and restart the computer and hold Command -R instead. Then run the Disk Utility
