Its a 16 GB ipod nano. The version that has the wheel on the bottom. Yes it is not showing up in the itunes. It used to but now it is not.
Thank you, Michael.Let's try a reset first.Connect the ipod to the computer.Now, on the ipod, press and hold the menu and the center buttons together until you see an apple logo.Let's see whether this resolves your issue.

I got the apple and then it went to the basic menu but still did not show up in the itunes
Ok.Let's now restart the computer with the ipod connected to it.If that too does not work, try with a different cable, if you have any.Let me know whether this helps.
