apple told me to change my password XXXXX the apple store. I did once and then I get the message that it is the wrong password. The security question that they ask is my birthday, and the message tells me it is the wrong answer. I would like to reset my password.

I did that, and it did not work. It asked for a security question answer and told me that my birthdate was not correct.
