Customer Question

I now have a Samsung flat screen tv. Itried getting my apple tv to show up onscreen like
it did with the old tv. Apple tv box comes on an is plugged into the tv hdmi. but no
response on screen..don't know if you remember but I had a new drive put in, do I have
to reload a software disc to get apple tv going again.

Already Tried:
after removing my old tv, I plugged the existing apple tv box into the new flat screen tv hdmi. turned on apple tv box but nothing shows up on monitor like it did with old tv. This was done after I had new drive put into my iMac at apple store. They could not save any old drive info. Could this have anything to do with my problem

Omar C :

Hello. Have you checked your TV to make sure you have selected the correct HDMI input?

Omar C :

Replacing the hard drive on your iMac will not affect the Apple TV connection.

Omar C :

Did you get my previous response?

Customer :

i moved cable to different location, dmi, instead of hdmi slot. Got the apple tv screen. said there was

Customer :

an update an i tried to that an it wound up giving me an error. now it wants me to go into iTunes and do stuff.

Omar C :

Ok. So you are getting a signal?

Customer :

Omar C :

Good. Do you need assistance with anything else?

Customer :

only if i need further help with finishing with apple tv stuff. Thank you for your help

Omar C :

Ok. Since you are just connecting your Apple TV to a new TV, everything on the Apple TV should be the same.
