Ihave just upgraded my direct tv satellite receiver to the the new media center hr34. Ialso have a harmony 1000 remote. I had changed a few peripherals and needed to setup the harmony fresh. I added all the components and started to set up the activities. I tried to set up watch TV, but it says none of my components will change channels. I thought maybe the receiver was so new that logitech didn;t have it setup yet. But i tried to use the hr24 wich was my old pvr and I got the exact same response. I have the newest harmony software and I can update my remote, but i can't figure out how to pu it all togther

I replaced the pvr and the DVD player everything else was the same. I did not completely wipe everything. I have a Samsung tv, onkyo av receiver, samsung DVD, and an apple tv

Did not have that choice, I went into activities and clicked on watch tv and the radio button was, setup... That was the only choice, when I clicked that button, it said no of my devices could change channels
Have you gone to the Logitech site and setup your remote this way? This is how you setup the remote you have to go Logitech.com have you done this?
Yes I went to the site, entered username/password, and erased the components that had been changed and added the new ones. I can't update the remote because I've not yet finished completing the activities section. I've had some experience with the site and the procedures, I've successfully set up 2 other remotes, but they just had a tv.
Check your TV device settings first: From the first page, click the "devices" tab, then click the "settings" button in the TV device. Click "adjust inputs", then next. Click "method 2", then next. Should show all the inputs. Keep clicking next, then "done", then "done" again. You should now be back at the main page. Click "activities". Click "settings" on the activity that you need to adjust. Click "review settings for this activity", then next. Have a look at how everything is set. If it's wrong, click "no, I want to run the setup wizard" Answer all the questions, clicking next after you've chosen an option. Click done and done. You'll be back at the main page. Change any other activities that are wrong. Once you've finished, download the new config to the remote.
