Hello, my name is XXXXX XXXXX welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.

Did you turn on the Wi-Fi?

Then the networks will show up and you can select one. You will need your wireless password.

Does that help?

Yes, I turned on Wi-Fi, THere is a place that says Choose a Network ... and a little circle turns perioically but no dorp down like yours to choose from. The next bar says Other ...

Ok, now please tele me what is you network setup where you are? I mean, you have a modem, what is it connected to?

Who is your ISP?
If you have a router can you tell me what kind?

Customer replied 298 days and 22 hours ago.

I have a Negear router. Shelby Wireless is my provider. All this worked fine until two days ago when my regular desktop computer had to be rebooted, both through the router and through Shelby Wireless' little box.

The computer has nothing to do with it unless it is being used as a router.

Let me see if I have this right.
Shelby is the ISP, they supply the modem, is the modem both wired and wireless?
I ask because you day Shelby Wireless.
The NetGear is a wireless router I assume.
Why did it all need rebooting? I am looking for clues here.
You are now on the regular desktop computer? What kind of computer, Mac or Windows?

Yes, I am kind of 'dumb" I guess. Shelby Wireless is my wireless povider. It needed rebooting because things just didn't seem to be working properly and a connection was lost which we fixed. But after all that, my iPad didn't work anymore as far as getting on the internet is concerned. I am concerned about the little turning circle that shows up right beside the words "Choose a Network." Maybe I should just take it to an apple store here and let them look at it.

It may just need resetting.

To reset the iPad press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home button down together until the white Apple appears. Ignore all other screens especially the one to turn it off.

This totally resets the iPad, it does not lose any content.

Then see if it will connect to the network.

Customer replied 298 days and 21 hours ago.

We rebooted and waited for white apple, but it still doesn't connect. Sorry.

Restart the router, unplug it, wait ten seconds and plug it back in.

Hi,

I recommend doing a software restore on the ipad.

Follow these steps to restore your device:

Verify that you are using the latest version of iTunes before attempting to update.
Connect your device to your computer.
Select your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch when it appears in iTunes under Devices.
Select the Summary tab.
Select the Restore option.
When prompted to back up your settings before restoring, select the Back Up option (see in the image below). If you have just backed up the device, it is not necessary to create another.

Select the Restore option when iTunes prompts you (as long as you've backed up, you should not have to worry about restoring your iOS device).

When the restore process has completed, the device restarts and displays the Apple logo while starting up:
