Customer Question

How do I restore my ical data. I was deleting duplicates from one of my iPads and when it synced lost all (or most) of the data.  I sync with iCloud  between an iMac, Mac Pro, 2 iPads, and an iPhone.  Data was lost on all devices.

hi,
try to log into www.icloud.com
check calendar in there and see if your appointment is still there.

follow the direction on that page to remove all icloud calendar from online and stop sycn with icloud.

then used time machine to import back your calendar to ical again.

My iCloud file data is also deleted. I tried following instructions on link but have not found the back up files. I do not see a calendar file under library.

This has not solved my problem. I do not want to be charged until my problem is solved.

turn off all icloud on your computer

used time machine and restore calendar files

CompExpert :

go to time machine browse to directory --->>> [home]/Library/Calendars

restore the calendars folder

that should bring your calendar back

I still have not found calendar files in the library backup.

do you used time machine to backup your data?

yes

what osx version do you have installed on your mac?

CompExpert :

if you go into library backup folder and didnt see the calendar folder

CompExpert :

that mean it was never backup with time machine

CompExpert :

when you open ical.

go to preferences --->> account

how many icloud account did you sync in there, try to turn on and off sync?

make sure only turn on 1 account for sync

play around with on and off to see if your events come back

CompExpert :

also try to disable icloud from your ipad and see if the calendar return

Customer :

I posted a question on June 4 and the answer did not solve my problem and I did not give permission to charge my card. I was charged and would like to know how to get that reversed.
