Internet connection- not possible

keep getting a message which reads, cannot open the page because it is not connected to the internet. yes it has been working since we purchased from new 5 weeks ago.

Is Netgear your WiFi Network? If so click on the arrow on the right then on the arrow again on the next section what is listed in DHCP tab?

sorry finding this a bit difficult. my PC is 2000. not xp
It should be the same procedure. Is the Netgear conneceted to a modem is it DSL service?

Yes it is connected to a modem and i beleive it is DSL !
ON the iPad Hold the Sleep and Menu buttons together until you see the Apple logo

just tried the sleep menu buttons. no change but a pop up has just come up with select a wireless network. with the word NETGEAR and a picture of a shut lock and a full signal symbol.
OK on the iPad go back to the network settings and change it to the Static tab and manually put in:

ip address 192.168.0.100
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
router 192.168.0.1
dns server 192.168.0.1

once i do that do i need to press any thing else. also i note that the IP address is different to the one i sent you . Sorry but i am now very unsure.
Every device has it’s own IP address or it won’t work,.
