email address held by apple is correct but no email being received to complete verification on my new ipad 3 despite repeat requests for one to be sent.

Sorry to hear that you are not able to set up the ipad....:(

Unfortunately, you are at the wrong site. JustAnswer is a pay per question site and we are not Apple. But I can definitely guide you on where to get this issue resolved.

Sometimes the verification email can land in the junk folder. So please check your junk/spam folders in the mail to see whether the verification mail is in there.

If not, you need to email itunes store. To email itunes store, go to

www.apple.com/support/itunes

There, click on "contact support" to the bottom left. In the next page, click on "get itunes support via express lane". Fill in all the info and send the email.

They will reply to you in a maximum of 24 hours, so please be patient.
