I am attempting to connect my iPad3 to my new MacBook Air by making my Mac a hotspot. It is working but even thought the Mac can surf the Internet quickly. Currently I am using a USB wireless card to connect with my Mac and have a speed of 7 (not sure if gb/sec or what at this moment), but have an option to increase to 11 which is the highest speed offered by the cell phone company I am dealing with in Russia. If I increase the connection speed to my Mac, would it also increase the speed to my iPad3?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible.Hi,The higher data rate should have you faster speed on your ipad but test your ipad using the higher to make sure your can get a to the internet using you ipad. Also with cell networks going to a higher speed makes the network connection instable especially when you have multiple devices using the connection.Remember, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with my answer, we can continue the conversation until you’re satisfied and Accept my answer.
