I have a Mac 1.67 GHz PowerPC G4, running OSX 10.4.1. I bought it from a friend in Jan 2011. It has been working properly until recently. The problem is that the finder can't find (or show the names of) all the files that has my search key word. Can you tell me how to fix this problem?
I don't know what I have been doing. I tried a number of things suggested by some internet people but none worked.
Hello and welcome to JustAnswer. I look forward to assisting you today with your question and providing the best answer possible. What type of files are these? word files etc....What things have you done already?
All types of files, I tried to look for a pattern, but I could not find one so far.I looked for solution on internet, but I could n't find any. I looked at the Privacy of Spotlight but I don't have anything in that box.
Go to System PreferencesThen Spotlight>Privacy PaneAdd your Hard Drive to it. (You can drag it) Wait 10 minutes & remove it from the Privacy paneSpotlight will rebuildRemember, if for any reason you are unsatisfied with my answer, we can continue the conversation until you’re satisfied and Accept my answer.
