basically download Google Sync to your iPhone, then sync your contacts to Google Sync. Install the same on your blackberry then sync contacts again to your blackberry

if you follow it correctly, it should work.weird that it doesnt workout for you
try to download a app called bump on both devices ( blackberry and ipad)this app let your transfer contact by bump to two devices.
sorry I forgot, bump app is different on both ipad and blackberry
sorry there no more option to transfer contact than google sync and desktop manager for blackberry sync to outlook and itunes sync with outlook
