Hi,

Would you be able to send me the file so I can check it and try to fix it. To do so go to http://www.wikisend.com/ and upload the file (no need to signup) then copy the "File ID" number (or the download link) that you will be given and paste it here in your reply.

If the file has sensitive information let me know before you upload it

Ok here you go

http://www.filesharesite.com/files/201204/1333466355KPIR_Global_Data_File1.xlsx.html

The file was in a different format than the extension it was saved in. I opened it with another format then ran the file repair utility on it. It should be fine now

Hope this helps. Thank you for clicking Accept if the issue has been resolved

how should I proceed opening this file in the future, any suggestions?
Expert:  John D replied 4 years ago.

Just open it normally by double clicking on the file icon or from Excel File > Open, You should not have a problem with other files. It was just this file that had a problem

Please remember to click Accept - that is the orly way I get credit for my service

Thanks.

John, it happened again with a similar Exce doc....what I need to understand is how did you change the format?!
Expert:  John D replied 4 years ago.

Hello again

It's been some time since I worked on this and I can no longer remember exactly what I did (I work on hundred's of files every week). Unfortunately the only way to know what was done is to try to do it all over again.

I tried to download again your original file but it seems to have expired on that site. Please send me the problem file and I'll see what I can do
