I want to convert my home movies that have been copied to DVDs.

Customer Question

I want to convert my home movies that have been copied to DVDs. I want to bring them into Final Cut Pro on my Macbook Pro. I think I need a analog-to-digital converter and I'm looking at the Canopus ADVC-55. Is this my best option? and will it allow me to play a DVD
recording through it for conversion?

So any of these devices will accept recordings from a DVD? The info just talks about VHS or cameras as input
