I am not able to pull up bank's website anymore. I've cleaned he cashe and cookies but I get an error that the server is not responding. The bank's web site is www.sccu.com.

this is a mac....I can pull up the website on my IPHONE. BUT I DID TRY ANOTHER MAC AND I COULD NOT GET THE website....sorry for the caps

Please try the following:

Go to System Preferences…

 

 

Then click on the Network icon…

 

 

, select the connected item, then select the Advanced button near the bottom right corner.

 

 

, click on the DNS tab, and you can start adding in DNS entries into the list. If you see entries that are grayed out, just ignore them, and click the + symbol at the bottom to add new ones.

 

 

 

, then add these two:

  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4

Please go to http://192.168.1.1, and login with your username and password if you remember; if it does not work, enter the default user name (which is admin) and the default password (which is password), then click OK. Then look around for the DNS servers, if available, and see if you can enter :
  • 8.8.8.8
  • 8.8.4.4
Then look around for the security/firewall option and see if you can disable it.
, then see if you can go to that website.

Sorry, since this issue occurs on both computers, then the issue is with the router or Verizon server. Since the router is from Verizon, can you contact with Verizon and see if somehow that website is blocked from the router, and request to unblock it?

Safari tells me they can not find that website

That's strange. You can try http://www.verizon.com and look for the contact option.

If that does not work, just check your Internet bill/statement from Verizon for the phone number.
