I am having a problem with my phone where people cannot hear

Resolved Question:

I am having a problem with my phone where people cannot hear me when I am on the phone with them unless I put it on speaker. I tried plugging in headphones and taking them out but that did not work. Is it a glitch that I need a new phone?

Usually this is an issue with the hardware and you may need to get it replaced.

The only troubleshooting we can do here is a reset and a restore.

To reset the iphone, press and hold the power button and the home button together until you see an apple logo.

If that does not work, try restoring the phone from itunes.

Also try different headphones, if you have one.

If none of the above works, your iphone needs to be replaced. If it is under warranty, you will get a free replacement, provided there is no water/physical damage.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any difficulty.
