Yes I purchased this phone from Ebay as a broken phone the screen was smashed replaced the screen and left it charging when I swiched it on it asked for a pass code I got back to the seller for the pass code he gave me 3 which I tried with out any luck he said that he thought the phone did not have a pass code.

Put your iPhone to DFU (Device Firmware Upgrade) Mode and restore it from iTunes. Follow the steps below;

  • Connect the iPhone to your computer with the USB Cable.
  • Open iTunes application on your computer
  • Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
  • After exactly 8 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button. Continue holding the home button until your iTunes shows a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.
  • Click OK or Restore

Note : Put it to DFU Mode while connected to computer and also in DFU Mode your iPhone will remain blank.

I tried this it restored for about 23 minutes, after this went back to the original screen top section red saying iphone disabled connect to itunes.

After restoring did you setup it as new iPhone or restored from backup ?

I have no back up as the phone has never been connected to a computer I own.

I will try again and use new phone as you say and see what happens thanks for your help.

Their is no responce for a new phone onlly restore I must say at this stage I must have purchased a stolen phone and at this point give up and dump the the phone in the trash.

There should be a way...Have you tried restoring it from different computer ?
